Field Hockey- Why does everyone think its a wimps sport?
Everyone on the net or in real life laughs and says its a wimps sport.
Its NOT. For one its one of the more dangerous games up there on the list. The ball can get up to 100 mph. It hurts like hell when you get hit (and I'm the goalie and it hurts through the padding even). There are bloody messes with dangerous balls and sticks. The strokes can actually give the goalie a stroke with how dangerously fast those things are (the whole front of my thigh tht doesn't have padding was black and yellow for a month). And the only protection the field players have are shin guards and mouth gaurds against a HARD ball.
Now, football has all that equipment, ice hockey has equipment and we have no thing and deal with it.
WHY DO YOU PEOPLE THINK IT'S WIMPY, STUPID, AND NOT DANGEROUS?
what?! thats nuts! its such a dangerous sport! you can get hurt pretty bad. thats scarier than ice hockey, thats what i play! its not wimpy at all. who ever says that should be pushed into the goal and get pelted in the face with balls. its much scarier than a wax puck with a helmet, mouthgaurd and plenty of padding. besides, they kick you out on the field in revealing clothing, not gear!
