Help!! My Ice Skate Blade is making a clicking sound!?

Its a clicking sound on the blades in the front of the skates, i've only worn the about 5 times and I don't know anything about them. There Nike Bauer Supreme ONE05 Senior Skates.

Can they be repaired?
How much will it cost?
Can I fix it myself?

Your blade is loose. Don't wait - get it fixed right away or the hole will get bigger and more difficult (see: expensive) to fix.

If these were good figure skates, they'd have screws holding them onto the sole. It's a simple matter of tightening the screws to stop the clicking.

However, hockey blades are usually riveted onto the soleplate. Unless you know how to drill out and replace a rivet, you're out of luck. (It takes special equipment.) This happens a lot with hockey skates because I've been in the pro shop when they took care of five pairs of skates in a 30minute period. They just pop the rivet out and snap in a new one for a $5 charge.

Take them to the pro shop and ask them to fix the problem. Be sure to explain that the skates are new and you've only worn them five times. They'll figure out which rivet is loose and see if they can tighten it or if they have to replace it. I can't imagine them charging you if you bought them at the pro shop.

If you didn't buy them at that pro shop, they might charge you a nominal fee, but it won't be expensive.
