toddler ice skating helmet?

I asked this under ice skating, but thought I would check here, too - anyone have a toddler who ice skates? I want to get a helmet for my son (2.5) who is just learning. Should he have a full hockey helmet (with face protection), just the helmet or is a bike helmet OK?

Yeah a bike helmet should be fine. Maybe get one of the ones that people use for skateboarding.That is what Jon and Kate Gosselin(show on TLC) used for their 3 year olds.
