What's the best way to start as a goalie in hockey?

HI, it's been m lifetime dream to play ice hockey. Now that I have the opportunity, I need some tips. I'm 20 years old now have have little experience? Where is the beat league to start out in Vancouver area? And where is the cheap equipment store, what equipmentt should I be looking for? Thank you so much for your help!!

Hey I'm not from Canada, I'm in Detroit and if you want to start playing goal go to your local rink and find out when they have drop in leagues or maybe they have a night that guys get together and play, see if they need a goalie, but I would check your rinks in your area, as for equipment here in the States we have a place called "Play it Again Sports" you can buy used equipment and save some money. I like to play street hockey I picked up a nice set of leather goal pads old Cooper 32" they work great for the street we use a tennis ball. But I would do a check on the net to find equipment.
