Pressure Points in Sons Hockey Helmet?
My little boy just started hockey and we got his helmet sized at the sports store, but now he's started complaining of pain in certain parts of his head. We've adjust and re adjusted several times. We make him wear it at home for an hour at a time to see if any of the adjustments we try are helping... He never has any pain or issues with it at home, but half way thru his ice time he starts to complain about the pain (pressure points i'm assuming). I really don't know what else to do, we've tried heating up the pads to soften them up a bit, that hasn't helped, we've used all the adjustment screws and it seems to fit well. The chin strap isn't too tight, the cage straps aren't too tight.
Any help would be greatly appreciated ![]()
The pressure points are on the top right side of his head, around the area where your skull curves on the side.
Well, without knowing where the pain is located, it's hard to say what the problem is. Try to be more specific. If your kid falls a lot, he may just be a klutz and has a headache from falling. I'm sure that's not true, but help me out a little bit.
