In nhl hockey, is the play stopped if a goalie loses his blocker or glove?
I know a goalie's blocker or glove would most likely not come off... but say it did, and the other team was still firing shots at the goalie with no blocker or no glove; would the ref have to stop the play, or is it just when the goalie loses his helmet they stop it?
They only stop for his helmet. It is the same as if a player looses his stick, they keep play going. It is the defense job to get the puck out of the zone and let the goalie to get his stick and/or glove. The coach can also call a timeout so that the goalie and get situated and ready for the next plays.
