Vapor Xxxx Ice
Is it OK to walk around in your ice skates, or helpful?
I have a VAPOR xxxx and ONE35 ice skates. They are new and sharpened directly from the store. I live in Minnesota and I have a pond behind my house where I can go practice ice skating.
I walk around my room (sometimes my house) with my ice skates on. OBVIOUSLY, I have skate guards on, but basically is it pointless or does it mold to my feet, and wear them out so there more comfortable?
Now, I am faced with a question. Vapor xxxx and ONE35 have stainless steel, so is it pointless for me to put on soakers?
Any help will be appreciated.
btw I will size 8D hockey skates and I hang out with my friends on the ice. We don't play ice hockey.
baking the skates in the oven is not an option
Standing and walking in the skates (with guards on) is a good idea for beginners to get a feel for the balance before they start skating.
In your case, it doesn't sound like that is an issue.
However, wearing them will help them and your feet to mold to each other. You don't need to walk around, just have them laced up tightly or even a little over tight.
