But what really makes a good baseball glove? Old time ecologically rough tannin? Sophisticated chrome or right out of the garden vegetable. Each process serves the purpose of converting the hide of the animal into a durable, malleable product that is used all over the planet. What separates the leathers is the final purpose. Say you need a Bentley with a suede interior without flaws, then you need hide from Switzerland or other location that does not use hard fencing or barbs to keep the roaming lawn mowers in. Baseball gloves on the other hand (well, the catching hand) need to fit the purpose of the user. Intensity of game play, skill level, interest, all must be considered in the acquisition of the perfect glove. Perfect is as individual as fingerprints. Everyone has their idea of perfection and the manufacturers do a good job of providing a wide enough selection for all us Joe’s to pick one out and shape it to our will.

Do heavier, more expensive gloves improve your game? The mechanics of baseball gloves are all very similar. There is a period of time where any glove will perform flawlessly. It’s the duration of this time where the quality of the glove comes into play. Game ready glove leather is just that, ready for “a” game. They are designed to be comfortable and easy to close. How many games you actually get out of your $30 to $80 investment varies.

A simple analogy is to think of shoes. A $6 pair of discount shoes feel nice, look great and serve the purpose. Now a $200 pair of work boots are stiff, hurt your feet till they break in and have all the style and flair of dirt. Consider now, which will wear for years to come? At the task of protecting your feet, boots win without contest.

This same theme holds true for baseball gloves as well. Heavier, stiffer gloves will perform longer at the optimum level. Baseball gloves sever double duty. First, they are taught to ‘catch’ the ball. Stopping the ball in mid flight or skipping along the ground. Second, they protect the user from this same ball defenders are trying to catch. How many times have you seen a ball driven through a broken down glove. There is just not enough stiffness left in it to re-direct the ball back into the pocket.

Leather in and of itself is a natural, aspirating product. It absorbs and releases moisture. It can dry, crack or become brittle. Similar to your boots, if the baseball glove gets dirty you clean it. Gets wet, you set it out to dry. Give your glove what it needs. Don’t apply so much oil that it clogs all the pours and can no longer breathe. Don’t fold it in half like an omelet and expect the ball not to jump out of the pocket.

As mentioned previously, Steer Hide, Cow Hide, Pig Skin, Deer Hide, Kangaroo etc., each will have their time to perform as a flawless baseball glove. The duration of this flawless performance does change drastically.

TV seems to be everything I thought it. I selected this collection as a result of my research and other excellent reviews in this forum can not.

My review of the Amazon ad service "white glove in fact, not based on delivering an unpleasant process that included purchasing 12 to 17:00 am for delivery pilot cargo box was reasonable. 6:00 pm Contact the seller informed me late was not necessary. I knew that someone was late. call ended at 6:20 with the promise there was in confidence, but when Sir 07:00 pm called for directions to my house and shake the confidence I was shattered.

Good seller, Reggie, about 8:30 in itself is presented. It very apologetic for the delay of 3 1 / 2 hours and I immediately noticed that he wore white gloves. Delivery instructions include only what he painted the house, taking TV out of the box, place and contact base to ensure on. Reggie helped to meet its obligations for delivery, sends him the way he was grateful to visit some friends who helped me to connect three wires and mount TV.

Perhaps my expectations were too high. Based on this experience, especially delivery, Amazon may want more realistic way to change this service called "plain old over our house sometimes late is too late." Yet so catchy, but more honest.

Big Beautiful Plasma

I've had the tv about a month now and I love it. It was a much better price than anywhere else, delivery was prompt, and the television is awesome.The sound could be better but I have a surround sound, a pioneer 5.1 which is great so that's not an issue for me.

This TV is absolutely gorgeous. We had a 50" Samsung plasma upstairs and decided to put this 58" Panny in our new home theater in the basement. It's just incredible. With a blu-ray player, it will knock your socks off. We hooked it up to an Onkyo system w/ 2 subwoofers. It's really like being in the theater. We've hosted a few movie nights at our place and our friends are impressed.

The best Plasma HDTV on the market!

This bad boy is BIG! I absolutely LOVE the picture! The TV is also very sleek and slim - it just screams high quality! Watch a Blu Ray on this with a good sound system and it is better than being in the movie theater. Contrary to what many other reviewers have said, I think the internal speakers are great but this is a moot point anyway, since I have it hooked into a surround sound system. The remote and menus are intuitive, visually pleasing and easy to use.

As if that wasn't enough...the price is UNBEATABLE for what you get! The best value on the market!

Best Picture I've ever seen

I'll make this quick. I've been in hundreds of homes, seen hundreds of LCD's, LED's, Plasmas. Most are just fine, very nice. This thing is incredible. The level of detail! The colors, the blacks, sports! Each blade of grass. Just unreal.

Don't even think about it at $1,600. I waited two years for a set of this quality to hit this price point. To date, the most rewarding purchase I've ever made.

Awesome Television!!!

I also have two 46" LCD televisions for about 2 year, one Sony Bravia and the other is a Mitsubishi, both have been great sets and were top of the line LCD at the time. However, both pale in comparison to this new Panasonic plasma for picture quality. I also hooked up this set to the panasonic home theater 1250w system. Picture and sound is amazing, blu-ray movies are as good or better than the theater. Both purchases were through Amazon and very pleased with both. As i have been with all of the items i have purchased through Amazon. Also like that the Amazon stock i bought a couple years ago has done so well.

Excellent product.

I stepped up from a Panasonic 42" to this 58". I am pleased with my older Panasonic 42", never having any trouble with it. I did a great deal of research of models and manufacturers before making this purchase. I especially researched pro's and con's of plasna vs. lcd. I decided to go with the plasma for a various reasons. This Panasonic had all of the features that I was seeking and at a great price through Amazon. The picture quality is awesome!
