How To Play American Soccer

Many people get confused over what American soccer and football are because they are different in different places around the world. American soccer is the regular soccer that we in North America are used to but in Europe it is known as football. It can get quite confusing but if you want to learn about American soccer then you want to learn about the soccer played in North America. There are a few important rules of the game you will need to know before you can start playing.

Before even that of course you are going to need to get the right equipment. This means you will need two soccer nets as well as a ball. Besides that you only need to worry about the players and there needs to be a goalie for each team as well. You should have the different teams wearing their own colors or different styles of jerseys.

Especially if you are working with a children's soccer team, this will make things a lot easier for them. The purpose of soccer is for each player to work together with their team and score the ball into the opposing team's net. There is a goalie in each net, someone who is there to protect the goal and keep the other team from scoring on it as best as they can. Being the goalie in soccer is a tough job because the net is so large compared to other sports such as hockey and so there is a lot more area for that one person to cover.

One of the most primary rules to remember is that only the goalkeepers are able to intentionally touch the ball with their hands during play. Players on each team are able to use other parts of their body to control the ball and that includes their heads, legs and arms. There are other important rules of the game to remember as well. You have to figure that although the goalies nets are quite large, in most situations the players are not even able to make it that far.

The playing field of a soccer game is so large that players have to get the ball through the entire length of the field and into the goal in order to get a point. There are only stricter rules and regulations once you get into the professional league of games. No matter what you call the game, it is easy to see why it is so popular and loved by so many. These are the basic rules for playing soccer so you can start enjoying the game too and it is not only fun but also a great way to stay in shape.

How Should I get started being a hockey goalie?

Hi im tim...i lovee hockey to death but i didnt really start at a young age and people keep telling me its prob too late to start now but the truth is i dont believe htat at all. Since i was like 10 i've been watching College Hockey, my favorite teams include hte Maine Blackbears and THe Boston U terriers...but long story short i love hockey.

I'm 13 and my favorite position is goaltender...i admire the way these guys can stop a puck flying at high speeds under all that pressure and it seems like one of the most important positions on the ice.

I would just like any recomendations to what program or w.e leagues i should get into to start out maybe even a clinic or something jjust the best approach to get started. What kind of equiptment would be best for me (i alrdy know i prefer non leg cradle pads).

Any info guys would be great.

i am not sure where you live but rob staubers goal crease is an amazing program. i know a handful of people that went there and are some of the best goalies i have seen. also, for excercises at home.just throw a puck up and down or play catch with a baseball, it will improve your hand and eye coordination. hope i helped.
