Simmons goalie equipment?

I'm looking to make a purchase of a simmons chest protector for an ice hockey goalie. I play college level. I know very little about the simmons line and less about their chest protectors. Is this line as durable than say, a vaughn? Thank. Paul

I use a Vaughn 5500 myself, but know people who have used the Simmons kevlar reinforced in adult league without any problems.
